Jennifer Slominski RN, CEN, SANE-A
With over 30 years in healthcare and more than 25 years dedicated to the care of victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, Jennifer Slominski is a nationally certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner–Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A), a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), and a recognized leader in forensic nursing.
Jennifer has spent the past 20 years as a registered nurse and has founded two hospital-based forensic nurse examiner programs. She has mentored and trained dozens of SANEs and has developed and implemented targeted education for EMS and law enforcement to improve trauma-informed, victim-centered responses.
In addition to clinical and educational leadership, Jennifer is a seasoned expert witness, offering testimony in both civil and criminal cases. She provides comprehensive case review and forensic consultation for law enforcement agencies and attorneys, helping ensure accurate interpretation of medical evidence and support for prosecutorial strategy.
Jennifer also serves as a guest trainer for the University of Arizona College of Nursing’s SANE Clinical Education program. Through Precision Forensic Nursing Solutions, she continues her mission to elevate standards of care, education, and accountability in the response to interpersonal violence.
Deanna Squires BSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P
Deanna has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, and 12 years working as a forensic nurse. Deanna founded the Forensic Nursing Department serving Gila River Health Care as well as assisted in the development and programming for a pediatric skills lab for the University of Arizona. Deanna serves as a guest trainer for adult / adolescent and pediatric skills lab at the University of Arizona. Deanna has extensive experience testifying as an expert witness for both adult and pediatric cases involving abuse and violence. Deanna currently serves the pediatric population at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southern Arizona.
Deanna not only cares for victims of violence but also has experience providing reports for law enforcement for sexual maturity ratings and dirty / unsafe house reports, and medical and dental records review. Deanna has extensive teaching experience and enjoys imparting knowledge to others individually, in group presentations, and at conferences.
Deanna has precepted many forensic nurses to competency and educated law enforcement and other disciplines about many topics including strangulation, forensic nurse scope of practice, the neurobiology of trauma, human trafficking, sexual assault, drug facilitated sexual assault, vicarious trauma, and child and elder abuse to name a few. Deanna is very dedicated and passionate about forensic nursing and those she serves.
Through Precision Forensic Nursing Solutions, she is able to utilize her skills and knowledge to better the field of forensic nursing, promote positive outcomes for victims, and provide evidence-based education and resources for the community, forensic nurses, and all of our multidisciplinary team members.
Amanda Pritts BSN, RN
With over a decade of dedicated service in healthcare, Amanda has specialized in forensic nursing since 2020, combining clinical expertise with a passion for education and community service. As a Forensic Nurse Examiner, Amanda continues to work bedside providing patients with compassionate, trauma-informed medical forensic exams to those affected by violence and abuse.
In addition to clinical practice, Amanda serves as a Guest Trainer at the University of Arizona College of Nursing, where they teach and mentor the next generation of Forensic Nurses. Amanda’s extensive teaching experience also includes delivering presentations to healthcare professionals and first responders, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in the response to trauma and violence.
Committed to advancing the field of forensic nursing, Amanda actively participates in initiatives aimed at improving care and support for survivors by contributing to the development of best practices and educational resources.
